AI Check for Lovable
Get your Lovable app reviewed before real customers arrive
Lovable gets you to an app that looks like a finished product in days. Whether it behaves like one once real customers enter their data only shows when you look at the code and database. That’s exactly what we do.
Typical findings
What we often find in Lovable projects
Open Supabase tables
Row-level security is missing or allows too much. Strangers can read or change data with the public key.
Keys in browser code
API or service keys end up in the frontend and override every access rule.
Logic only in the frontend
Prices, permissions and status are checked in the browser – and not at all on the server.
Unchecked Edge Functions
Server functions run with elevated rights without verifying the caller.
Huge components
Single pages with hundreds of lines in which data, logic and presentation are knotted together.
No staging, no migrations
Changes go straight to the production database, without versioned migrations or a test environment.
How we review Lovable apps
Lovable generates a React frontend that talks directly to Supabase. The app’s security therefore depends less on the frontend than on the database: on row-level security, storage policies and Edge Functions. That’s where we start.
- Database and policies. We check every table, view and function: is RLS on, are the policies for reading and writing complete, and can one customer see another’s data? You can test the first part yourself.
- Keys and configuration. We search the shipped code and the Git history for keys that don’t belong there.
- Business logic. We check which rules are only enforced in the browser and belong on the server – prices, roles, limits.
- Architecture. How well can the app be developed further? Is there a data model for business customers, or only individual logins? More in the article on the architecture of AI-built apps.
- Operations. Backups, test environment, migrations, monitoring – the things Lovable doesn’t bring by itself.
What you get
In the Quick Check (3 working days), a traffic light per area and our recommendation on whether a Deep Dive is worth it. In the Deep Dive, a report with every finding, where it is in the code and a prioritised roadmap – ordered by your goal: runs reliably, scalable or ready to sell. The sample report shows what that looks like.
Why it matters
Flaws in the access rules of Lovable projects aren’t a theoretical risk. They were so common that they received their own security advisory: CVE-2025-48757, severity 9.3 out of 10. Lovable disputes the rating and points to the responsibility of app operators – which makes the question of who reviews your own app all the more important.
FAQ
Do we have to leave Lovable?
No. Many findings can be fixed within Lovable and Supabase. We’ll tell you honestly from which point developing outside Lovable makes more sense – for example with complex business logic or several developers.
How do you get access to the code?
Through Lovable’s GitHub sync: you give us read access to the repository. For the Quick Check, an export of the database schema and policies is usually enough – we don’t need access to real customer data.
Can you fix the findings too?
Yes. After the report you decide: implement it yourself (the report is written for that) or have us do it based on a quote.
My app has no customers yet. Is the check worth it already?
Especially then. Access rules and the data model can be corrected in hours before launch – with customer data in the database, every change gets more expensive and riskier.
